Marconi Beach - Wellfleet, Cape Cod, MA
Brrrrrrrr.
Oh my, it's cold. I truly do want to get used to it...and I will very quickly. I'll be forced to. It's snowing, and if it doesn't knock that shit off I'll be getting used to it with a snow shovel in my hand. I'm just not ready for that yet.
I do believe SOME humans probably did hibernate. And I believe I am a descendant of that unique group of humans that did. I can feel my body trying to shut down and it's unnatural to resist. I should go to sleep until spring arrives. Imagine the weight I'd lose too (note: THAT'S why I've been bulking up...it's for hibernation!). It can't be good for my body to resist this. No wonder I'm not well.
Woke up this morning and my lungs felt like they needed more time to wake up. Just got short of breath very quickly...trip down the stairs for my coffee...huff...puff. Back up the stairs...huff..puff...etc. Eventually it improved quite a bit, but I'm still coughing. I haven't done much at all today. In fact I feel like I wasted the whole weekend. Two things I was going to do today and I just couldn't get out the door. I even finally got dressed (this afternoon) and that was as far as I got. I wanted to go to a parade in Taunton with some friends, some were in it and some were watching. And I wanted to visit my father this evening. Well at least I worked overtime yesterday. I need the money so that was good.

My Mom's new dog JezebelSo that little bout with depression the other day...I dunno what set it off but I guess it was anxiety from money, my insecurity, health worries, just a combination of a bunch of little things. I was much better the next day, so I dunno. Guess when ya least expect it...
Well, I guess I'll wrap this up for now. It's been so long (until a few days ago) since I blogged I think people stopped checking for new ones. I don't know if it would be tacky to let people know there's new ones...or just let them eventually realize it. Oh another dilemma.
OK so I send this by email but then I fix it up at the site...kind of weird but for some reason it seems like a good way to do it. My reason for mentioning it is because I don't remember if I can insert the picture(s) here or if I have to do it at the site. Last time I did it there but not sure if I had to or not. OK well anyway...ttfn

Short Blog

I've done so well for so long with no meds, that I thought I was past all this depression shit. I dunno why, but today I've hit highs and lows I haven't seen in many months. I feel like crawling back under the rock I lived under for several years. But no, that would be a step backward...must keep moving forward. I'm sure this too will pass and I'll be ok again.
I'm sitting here speculating and theorizing on what could be causing it, but I'm not going to bother typing it all out. It doesn't matter anyway. Hopefully it'll be history by tomorrow.
This Saturday is the beginning of the "overtime season". That will surely help me pay some of the bills I've racked up in the past few months. My main time will be Saturday mornings , so I can still do Saturday night investigations when they come up. There will be OT on occasional Sunday afternoons too.
I haven't blogged in quite a while and I realize it's very random shit. Sorry. LOL.
I hope everybody (in the US) had a great Thanksgiving last week. Mine was good. And I hope everyone (in the world!) has a very Merry Christmas. That's right I said Merry Christmas. If by chance you don't celebrate that, then at least enjoy the time off, and the holiday that you DO celebrate. It's all good. Happy Every-fkn-thing! lol
I'll try to do this more often. TTFN.

Odds and Ends
Whew! I've been keeping busy this week...somewhat...busy for me anyway. I had to go back to Wal Mart - yes the one I said I'd never go to again, and get water conditioner for the pond. Some plants diverted water out of the filter so when I got back from Wal Mart with fish food yesterday and went to feed them the pond was nearly empty. I added some water right then but had no dechlorinator so I didn't dare add too much. Luckily all the fish seemed to have made it to the deep section - I don't see any floaters. Of course, and as always, I forgot the hose was running and overflowed the pond. Poor fish go from one extreme to the other with me.
Yesterday I had to go to Wal Mart for a couple things and then visit and deliver a CD and DVD from an investigation. Then when I got home and was running late partly because of the pond situation, I got a last minute call that Jason needed a ride home. Later I noticed I had a missed call when he'd tried to call earlier so I guess he's excused for calling so late. But NOT for not leaving a message. lol.
Tuesday...I have to remember. I can't think of it right now. Monday I helped Darlene with her van, a light was out. Then I had an appointment with the lung doctor. We time these appointments so that I can go right from there (Brockton) to work in the next town over. After he said "see you in six months" I told him I had a tough summer with breathing, and I mentioned that I can't walk and talk at the same time, so he set me up with another breathing test. I said I figured it was normal but wasn't sure if it was getting worse. He said I should be able to walk and talk at the same time. I said, I have to stop and catch my breath.
What was Tuesday? Damn, I can't think of it...maybe I slept the day away. lol. Naaaah. I dunno. I'll have to get back to ya.
That is all for now. Have a good day folks.

* MA-RIPT.COM * Welcome!
* MA-RIPT.COM * Welcome!
Update 11/10/2019: The site is gone. The team is still going but I am no longer a member.
Although it's been a relatively uneventful summer, this is one thing I've been doing. Not only am I still working on building this website, I'm also a member of the team. I've so far been out on two investigations and if all goes well, a return to one of them this week. I have enjoyed it very much so far.
If I haven't mentioned it to *you* it's because I've been kind of mum about it - one for fear of ridicule and two, because I wanted the site to be further along.
The site is now almost finished but not quite. It's not 'officially launched' (lol), but would like to share it with my friends, etc., as sort of a sneak preview. Having said that, I ask please don't sign the guestbook just yet. But certainly let me know here or via email what you think of it! Thanks. Wayno!

Wampanoag Casino
Tomorrow there's a HUUUGE special town meeting for the town to vote
on allowing or not allowing the Mashpee Wampanoags to build the
state's first casino. It will be interesting to say the least.
I think the outcome will be in favor of it. While I have looked at
both sides of the coin I haven't looked enough into it to make an
educated decision, but my gut says they should go for it.
There are pros and cons in everything in life, but I think this would
benefit the town more than it would hurt it, as long as both sides
uphold their respective ends of the bargain.
There was talk that they would just go ahead and do it anyway if the
town vote no. At first I said I didn't think they could but now I'm
thinking that they can. So the town might as well go for it and be
"in on it". Maybe then they/we won't be broke all the time.
From the hip again, I hope it goes through.

~ Lost Heritage ~
Ah, to feel a great sense of pride for one's heritage...an ancestry you've been told of since childhood, and you just knew it was true. It had to be. How could it not be, when you could actually feel it? We were told to be proud. I didn't have much first hand knowledge of the old ones or the old ways - still don't - was never taught, yet whenever I saw or heard or smelled anything related to them, I felt a connection - still do.
But alas, I can't prove it's there. Genealogy research done by relatives reaches dead-ends. Years ago, it was not a good ethnicity to be. Therefore, quite often it was "hidden" and kept from the records. This may be what happened.
I had pretty much given up hope, when an organization took me in based on this heritage they knew I have, and collected my dues, and then I felt it was all finally real. We were very excited - myself, my kids, my relatives. We all were very proud.
Then we were told we couldn't tell people on a large scale, such as on a web site, about our descent. We were accused of trying to use our heritage to 'cash in' because I had some home-made ethnic jewelry listed on ebay, which was linked from my web site where I told about myself and mentioned my heritage. We were accused of using another much larger and more legitimate organization to cash in, by displaying a quote by a high ranking member of it, a quote we were proud of, prominently on one of our web sites. The quote was found on the WWW and was available for anyone to use. They were great words of wisdom. That web site had nothing for sale. It did have a link to my web site though, so all these web sites were grouped together and considered as one. I think I even almost owned eBay for a while there. This family web site was to be shut down.
I never wanted to cash in on my heritage. I don't care about that. I was born poor and I'll most likely die poor. I just wanted the honor of being able to say what I was, with the truth to back me up. I just wanted to be proud. The truth may still be out there, but I don't have it. I have a feeling even those who claimed to have it were lying.
Some relatives formally left the organization because of this. I didn't. However I no longer received any mailings or bills for dues or any other kind of correspondence, ever again...so I guess I was informally kicked out. I guess I was too proud.
For awhile afterwards, I displayed my web site with just a black page and Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" playing on it. Then later, I added the lyrics to the song.

So close no matter how far- Couldn't be much more from the heart
- Forever trusting who we are
- And nothing else matters
- Never opened myself this way
- Life is ours, we live it our way
- All these words I don't just say
- And nothing else matters
- Trust I seek and I find in you
- Every day for us something new
- Open mind for a different view
- And nothing else matters
- Never cared for what they do
- Never cared for what they know
- But I know
- So close no matter how far
- It couldn't be much more from the heart
- Forever trusting who we are
- And nothing else matters
- Never cared for what they do
- Never cared for what they know
- But I know
- I never opened myself this way

- And nothing else matters
- Trust I seek and I find in you
- Every day for us something new
- Open mind for a different view
- And nothing else matters
- Never cared for what they say
- Never cared for games they play
- Never cared for what they do
- Never cared for what they know
- And I know
- So close no matter how far
- Couldn't be much more from the heart
- Forever trusting who we are

What a great day we had. As hot and humid as it was, down near the water it was breezy and so relatively comfy, similar to yesterday.
I packed my cameras and other stuff in a cooler to protect them from the heat. It worked great.
The dang blower motor in the car makes a howling, groaning, grinding, deathly horrible noise - all we could do is make fun of it, as we needed it on for the AC.
We went to the house first and from there we went to the 99.
After that we went to the canal to walk off the dinner. It was very nice and breezy there.
Then we went and played 2 rounds of mini-golf. We were all above par but it's all about having fun. And we did have fun!
Now we were tired, and the breeze died down so we went to Wendy's for a cold drink. It was hotter than Hell (I assume) in Wendy's. Their AC must have been out of commish. The drink cooled me down though.
I had to use my albuterol when we got back to the car. I was coughing but not too bad.
I haven't made any solid plans for tomorrow yet. I have to see a lawyer sometime soon, and I have to see somebody about a website I'm working on for an (undisclosed at this time) group I joined.
Take care, folks.

Hoo...I'm tired.
Today I went to Plymouth, MA...good ol' Water Street. I parked way down the other end where I found a free parking lot.
Had a scallop roll and onion rings at Pebbles, then walked all over the place. I ran into two coworkers there who also were on vacation. They even ate at the same place I did.
I love it there but I don't go as often as I used to.
Then I went to Ellisville State Park and walked the trail there from the parking lot to the beach. This was my second time there but my first time walking the whole trail. I'm not sure how long the trail is. I brought my cane with me and I'm glad I did. I kept switching sides as both ankles took turns giving me grief, but they really weren't all that bad. About a third of the way back I had a cough attack but it passed in a few minutes. I should have brought my albuterol. Doh!
After that I stopped in and visited my father. I got a cool video clip of a hummingbird at the feeder. It's just what I needed for a video project I've been working on.
Now I'm eating supper. I'm so tired but for the first time in a long time, it's a GOOD kind of tired! I should sleep well tonight.
Tomorrow I am treating my son and his girlfriend to dinner at the 99 as she is moving to NH with her family. Don't ask me how that's going to work...I just hope it does because I feel they're meant for each other. Anyway, I wanted to do something for her before she moves and I don't have much money but I have these 99 restaurant gift cards so that's what we'll do. TTFN

A Warning About Registering Domain Names
This is taken from my main web page, as I will be taking it down from there and "moving on". This was last udated on my site on June 2, 2007. Any further udates, if any, will be in future blogs.
A Warning About
Registering Domain Names
There's some info here. There's also plenty of info if you Google "RegisterFly".
Note: There is news here. ICANN Blog here. Scroll down a bit for Registerfly info.
Be careful and do your research before choosing a domain registrar! I should point out however, that shit happens. This was a good company with very good prices and decent service and customer support. I've used them for six or seven years. But because of whatever reasons, they've gone down the tubes...completely.
Here's the thing:
Although the site is basically dead and unresponsive, it will allow you to pay them and it will not deliver the service you've paid for, as this has happened to me and many others.
BE VERY CAREFUL. There are no warnings on the site. It still appears to be set up for another happy day. Update: They seem to have finally complied with the court order to put a notice on the site stating they are no longer accredited.
There had been signs over the past several months. I wish I'd been paying attention. Grrrrr.
Live and learn. Pay Attention!
My domain I was most worried about, tommydanger.com, is now safely in the hands of the registrar, godaddy.com.
So far they seem very good and customer service is great!
I now only have one domain to square away and I think that will be easy, as I was already in the process of transferring it to GoDaddy, fortunately.
And one that was taken over by another registrant, who has said I can have it back for just the transfer expenses.

< rant >
Why do people think they have to decide what I want? If I offer something, why do they try to decide if I can spare it (or what ever the case may be)? Notice I haven't offered anyone my hands. That's because I still need them. So I guess I won't offer something if I feel I can't bear to part with it. Same with invites...why would I invite you to visit or what ever if I didn't want you around. If you're busy or have other plans, well that happens...but if that isn't the case, then I assume you don't want to be around me. You might feel I don't want you around but sorry...if that was the case I wouldn't invite. So like I said...Am I not capable of making these decisions? Are you saying I'm stupid?
From now on anyone that second guesses me like that will lose a serious amount of respect from me. Give me some fucking credit. Sheesh! < /rant >

Rush - Summertime Blues

Hi
Whew...been kinda busy. I've been working on my website including this blog, tommydanger.com's website, and another website that I won't disclose right now. I helped redesign a channel at LiveVideo ( www.livevideo/collectivesoul), which is mostly done but I have hit a roadblock with it...a minor bug that I don't know how to fix yet. I spent many hours on these projects when I had time off from work, while trying to take day trips around the local area as well, taping, photographing and posting videos online.
This week, Mom is in the hospital; she had her first knee replacement surgery. I'm going to try calling her in a bit...haven't seen or talked to her yet since she went in.
Well, more to come soon. I have stuff to do right now. TTFN.

My first blog (other than that 'blog this' of my LV channel, which I deleted)
Hello! I'm Wayne.Just testing things out here. Not sure who, if anyone, will read it but if you are, just know these first posts will likely be deleted. They're just tests.
I want to change the background to match my website, but I don't know how. I think I can figure it out eventually, or find the answer somewhere.
Anyway, so far I'm liking this. I have to mess with the settings some more and get the privacy, etc. worked out. I'm new to blogging, except Yahoo 360°, but this is different from that. They use words and terms here that I don't understand. But I'm a fast learner. So hopefully all will be well soon.
Well, I'll have more to say (hopefully) in my next one. For now, TTYL.
